Variations on a D Minor Theme
This piece is written for an intermediate level string ensemble. This is a fun piece that is intended to teach two main concepts. The first concept is the key, which of course is in D Minor. This key causes string players to use some different hand frames than the typical string piece that uses sharps. The second concept is spiccato, especially if your performance tempo is quick. Violins also need to be able to play in third postion.
Practice videos will be made soon. You can get the score and parts for free on the IMSLP site. Click here.
